I have never complained about Lancair. I think they do a fine job but lately
I have been thinking about the high price of the new IV-P "fast build" door
and vert. stab.  I just can't figure it out.  I don't like to whine but why
does it cost almost double for those of us who purchased a fast build kit
prior to the option?  I could swing (would have) the $3500.00 for the door
(with a little pain) for the option, but $6800.00 is a bit beyond the pain
threshold.  And I have to send them my parts I already paid for!  It just
doesn't add up!  The same goes for the vert. stab.  It is about double for
those of us who purchased the kit prior to the option. WHAT IS GOING ON? All
of us have spent a lot of money with Lancair and now I feel Lancair is
fleecing us (I could be vulgar but I am biting my tongue) and holding us
hostage!  I personally feel the options should be offered to us at the same
price (at least darn close) as a new kit buyer.
