On my ES, the "new" replacement aluminum plates from Lancair looked like they were made for the Legacy, way too small to replace the original ones. I ended up using my original plates as patterns to make new ones. I used double sided tape to hold the new and old together and cut and sanded to get a perfect match, not too bad really. I had made the mistake of countersinking the screws instead of using a dimpling tool. I borrowed the dimpling dies from an RV guy on the field.
