Sounds like he prefers Orcas Island. "Friday Harbor is nice, but you must most certainly go to ORCAS ISLAND. You should check out the Ship Bay Inn on Orcas and also Rosario. Another neat thing to do is take an Island flight on Magic One, a 1929 Travel Air that we restored years ago and is now operated by Rod Magner out of Eastsound airport, tele # 360-376-2733. He gives a great tour with two of you up front. Also a cruise aboard the Sharon, with Captain Miles McCoy is a fun time. Get him to haul up some shell fish and you bring the wine for a yarn on his deck after sailing aboard that lovely jib-headed cat of his. Ship Bay is a great place to eat as well. Eastsound Airport on Orcas has a fabulous hangar full of warbirds and stuff owned by Bill Anders, a former astronaut. Another thought. It is well worth while to hop over to Sidney, B.C. Ten minutes from Eastsound, easy customs clearance. Grab a car or taxi for the 30 minute drive into Victoria. High Tea at the Empress Hotel is a must (reservations required well ahead of visit) and the Bushard Gardens nearby are fabulous." >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
