<<From the cockpit standpoint, I have a switch on the trim servo panel that transfers the ground from PILOT to COPILOT. This isolates the trim control on the sticks from each other.>>
Well done, Giff! I have the same feature, except I wired all five wires to a three-wafer switch. A real pain to solder and install. If I had engaged my brain (as you did) I would have realized that switching only the ground would have been sufficient. Oh well, it's done. Sometimes I'm a genius but more often I'm a doofus.
The switch is labeled "TRIM CNTL" and you can select "PLT" or "PAX". I figured that with a push-to-talk on the stick, I didn't want the passenger pushing the trim by mistake. I also figured that it was a real positive way to say "I've got it" or "you've got it" when flying with another pilot.
