I thought since I was updating the GNS430s in my fleet of Cessnas all it would take for the Chelton would be to open a new account and download the files. It didn't work out that way. With all the help I got from the users on the lml, I think I can now handle the job. I have several 64Mb Smart Media Cards. I did check and the terrain database is the Aug. 2006 version and the nav data is 9/2006. I also was under the wrong impression that all the new towers were in the terrain data and not the nav data. I didn't write down the numbers but it appears that the terrain is for the western US. I will check it against the sectionals or WACs tomorrow. I will wait awhile on the nav data as I don't need the entire us until June or July and would like it to last farther into the future. Unless I manage to get the IFR certification done before that. Thanks again all you helpers.
