I am very sorry to hear about your mishap and the lost of your Lancair IV...
However, I'm glad to hear that you are alright except for your facial
injuries. It just shows how exceptional piloting skills can spell the
difference between life and death and serious injuries. Seems to me that
you exhibited just that during your ordeal.
When events such as your experience happens, it kinda gives pilots like me a
reality check, that even though these airplanes are such fun machines, they
are not toys and can (and do) cause serious injuries, possibly death, if one
does not fly safe, does not take time to practice emergency procedures and
sharpen their piloting skills. Thank you for relating your experience to
us...
