Yes I was told by lancair to use BellRay motorcycle fork oil in my nose gear strut on my 360.

When I services my ES strut I asked and was told to use 30wt motorcycle strut oil. This is much heavier then the "normal" hydraulic oil, which runs between 5wt and 15 wt. I found it at a large motorcycle shop in San Bernardino Ca. (Chaparral). I believe they have a web site.

Check with Lancair, but I suspect your struts are similar.

Subject: [LML] struts oil

Does anybody know the proper “oil manufacture” for a legacy struts? I had the original struts and we need to service them with the proper oil. The oil in my struts are yellow in color.

I'm looking for a manufacturer's name or mill standards for the oil.

Thanks
