I am ready to glue the Firewall blanket to my Legacy and would like to add the stainless exhaust tunnel covers at some point. The assembly manual(13-9) doesn’t show the blanket tunnel covers being glued and I’m wondering if they will simply be held in place by the stainless covers.

Also, did you all cut out just the mounting bolt holes or trim around the engine mounts? I am building in my garage so the airframe must stay on the rotisserie. I will need it to get the bird out of the garage - don’t ask.  So I have already drilled and attached most components to the firewall. I will have to remove these fittings to mark and punch holes in the firewall blanket. It’s not the first thing I’ve done backwards.

And if anyone using the stainless exhaust covers has a favorite supplier, I’d like to know who.

Thanks,

Stan Fields
