Assuming you all are talking about sealing the tanks for the leak (pressure)
test, I used the plastic lids from the large (2 lbs?) coffee cans and stuck
them on over the filler hole with Bondo. Let them set up with a bag of shot
holding them down and my tanks, plumbed with an old altimeter, held pressure
(reads negative on the altimeter, by the way) for days - plus or minus the
daily variation in atmospheric pressure.
When through with the leak checks, the Bondo sanded off easily.
Incidentally, the leak checks were done prior to priming the wings.
I initially was a bit wary of the Bondo sticking to the plastic - it's very
like polyethelene and a bit slick - but it worked fine.
