Jeff - don't even think of flying again without a complete engine teardown
and crank inspection. Continental cranks are heat treated from end to end
and as a result are very brittle at the prop hub. There is a good chance
your crank is cracked even though it might dial in as perfectly straight.
Continental's hard and fast position on mandatory tear downs is not just a
sale pitch or a CYA notice from their lawyers.
