The project changed hands a few times, but is not in the hands of someone who is completely committed to getting it done. They'll be releasing a Mk1 and a Mk2 with various prop configurations. They're using my bird for the Mk1 panel, paint scheme and performance numbers, but are looking for suggestions for building a plausible, generic panel for the Mk2. If anyone would like to submit their photos for consideration and research, drop me a line and I'll put you in touch with the developer at Shadetree. I fly IFR a lot and don't have a suitable airplane (been using a Piper Saratoga) to use for practice in the sim, so I'm very excited to have access to this. If the model is done right, it would also be interesting to be able to ask questions like, "what if it was 200hp instead of 180hp?" X-Plane really can do some amazing stuff if you feed it the right data. They told me they were fine with me sharing the news of the development on the list, but they cannot commit to a release date. I can tell you it's coming along, though, I flew an early version (which has since been rebuilt from scratch from what I understand) and it was not too far off in terms of performance numbers.
