The black outer coating seems to be not much more than a cosmetic protective coating. Where mine have "cracked", I have wrapped the area with silicon self sealing tape to retain any of its protective nature. If I ever have to replace these hoses, I will not seek replacement material but I will use some like Sacremento Sky Ranch to build a replacement set.
