Hi Guy,
Make sure there is no flex on the counterweights. You
should have some re enforcing gussets to keep the balance weights rigid to the
aileron. Also make sure the hinges are not loose at the hinge pins. They
can wear over time. Prop balance is a must regardless of aileron
shake.

Subject: Aileron shake on a 360 !?
I
was hoping someone might be able to help me on an aileron shake I have on my
360 (0-360 engine). I bought this plane from the west cost 11 months ago. I
flew the plane for 15min, and have been fixing problems ever since. I flew the
plane today for the first time and I still have a shake on the ailerons in both
cruz, & climb. I checked to insure the ailerons were counter balanced, and
they were. Mags retimed, new fine wire plugs, new intake gaskets
& hoses, compressions checked. I was wondering if this could be caused
by an out of balanced prop? Any suggestions on were to go from here?
Thanks,
Guy
