I saw the same issue early on.  We have a = relatively small and light airframe for the size of the engine. Torque= pulses from the engine translate to vertical forces and the wing= tips.   The tolerances in MS hinges allows for measurable vertic= al movement.  Switching to SS welding rods eliminates the movemen= t.  This configuration has held up well over the last ten years of use= .  More details can be found here:
