Jack,
Assuming you mean hydraulic actuators and standard gear - the actuator
should hold the door tightly closed against the leg mounted middle gear door
joggle. If it is not tight, the actuator rod end could be shortened by
screwing it in the shaft further or the mechanical stop tube could be shortened
until it is tight. Of course, the door must be vertical when fully opened
so the wheel does not catch on it during retraction.
Another problem might be related to the sequence valve - the stem length
may be out of adjustment so when the leg is tucked away it does not fully
depress the valve plunger thus depriving the door actuator full pressure or
fluctuating pressure during varying G-forces.

Does
anyone have experience stabilizing the inner gear doors on Lancair 360??
Hindges were already replaces with a stout carbon fiber pair.
The
actrator end appears to allow some up/down motion.
