Subject: [LML] Re: Pitot System and AOA
I'll weigh in on the side of installing dual pitot tubes. If there are several things that use pitot-static sources, do you want all of them to go down? Mine go to at least 6 places. What should be connected to the second pitot/static (if you install a second pitot, better install a second static system, I suppose)? I would think it would go to all the "backup" instruments and the AOA. Should there be a selector valve? dunno Gary ES 157, single pitot/static
Therefore, would it not be a good idea to have the AOA on its own pitot source? And could one tie both pitot tube together so that if one was blocked, the other would continue to provide pitot pressure? Thank you in advance for your input. John Kleber
