My advice is to be very careful with inspection of the over-center link.I recently came very close to a serious incident (nose gear failure) due to wear after 1200 hours.I was fortunate that the horizontal attach point had only moved 1/2"; only far enough to cause a gear warning light failure due to  an off center contact on the mini-switch. Problem # 1 was that the horizontal attach  hard point to the tunnel had delaminated, due to wear and pressure and also I'm sure, an inferior bonding of the hard point by me.

The 2nd problem is that the bolt that holds the top of the over-center link in place was greased according to plans, but there is absolutely no way to grease it again without dismantling the entire unit.The grease after 15years and 1200 hours had become quite hard and was no longer doing anything except making the over-center link harder to move. It should have been built with a zerk fitting at each end.
