Those of you who have used this product understand the benefits. Most likely some of you have noticed that the cross linker mixed with the smooth prime tends to thicken and ultimately gel over time. Not to worry MATE! According the the Poly-Fiber chemists, the cross linker is completely unnecessary...if you plan to coat the Smooth Prime with an epoxy primer or paint. The UV Smooth Prime is water based and can be thinned with water to the consistency you desire and it air dries perfectly. The cross linker thickens because over time, (6 months), the molecules are actually getting larger and eventually they cannot be sucked up with the syringe.
