I posted on Tire Sizes a long time ago, maybe this is good time
to revisit the issue. Different brands of the same size tire have
inflated dimensions that vary significantly in diameter and probably width too.
I compared 5 or 6 brands and models that had different uninflated diameters (like
nearly an inch). I was very surprised when the tire with the
smallest uninflated diameter became the largest when inflated. The point
is to be very careful when changing to a different tire. Measure the
inflated dimensions and compare them before you do a retract test. You
may save doing some glass work or worse.
