Well, as usual, Lancair came through and it's on my desk today. I have expressed several times in the past in e-mails to builders that in my opinion [which doesn't mean much] the tube needs to be bigger and not smaller further away from a pump that sucks the fuel rather than one which pushes fuel from the tank. Now that I have the 1/2"-pipe sized strainer I can finally run the 1/2" fuel lines. The other options I have picked up lately are the D/P cowl and the filter cover with the naca scoop all in carbon. The weight savings are about 1/2 of the original glass parts. There is a fast-built door available now and you can also purchase most of your other glass parts in carbon as well. A year ago I had asked Vern to make a carbon overhead console which saved 4 lbs (no e-glass and no gel coat) just carbon. If you work towards trying to save weight by adding carbon parts wherever possible the weight savings will really begin to add up. billmaddox@speedbrakes.com >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
