We did wet out those two extra areas as fuel bays and gained an extra 8-9
gal / side.  I haven't noticed any cg problems because I transfer the fuel
into the mains during cruise with transfer pumps.  Initially we had some
lower quality transfer pumps which were replaced  with Beechcraft pumps with
check valves.   Transfer time with these pumps takes less than 30min.. This
gives 102 total gal of fuel and approximately an extra hour of flying time.
600 lbs of fuel and two 170 pounders gives you 950# of gross weight.  With
50 lbs. of baggage you are close to max gross weight, so aft cg shouldn't be
much of a concern since it wouldn't be adviseable to load anything else into
the back seats or baggage areas. I recommend it if you can put up with the
extra brain damage of building them.
