Regarding your FCU on the Walter engine.... I would recommend that you send it to the factory for an overhaul if it is not a new one, or has been sitting around for any length of time without the preservation
oils that Marv has mentioned. This is the real brains of the engine and there have been many unconfirmed engine issues that lead to the FCU and/or fuel system. The FCU is very complicated and I'm not aware of anyone in the US that does a complete factory style overhaul with all the test equipment, etc. Two years ago the cost was approx. $10,000.00 plus shipping to the Czech Republic. Marv's suggestions are great also if you have the confidence that it's not in need of an overhaul and you just want to preserve it a little while longer before first start. Good luck and fly safe !
