Jay,

You have discovered what we all know about the Legacy, it will only hold 6 quarts of oil. I believe this is due to the shallow oil pan to accommodate the nose gear. At any rate, Keep it at 6 and when it gets close to 5, add another quart. There is a 12-quart pan you can get, but I cahange my oil every 25 hours and temperature has never been an issue ever.

I can't think of too many other quarks about the Legacy. There's really nothing I don't love about it.
