I believe this is due to the shallow oil pan to = accommodate the nose gear. At any rate, Keep it at 6 and when it gets = close to 5, add another quart. There is a 12-quart pan you can get, but = I cahange my oil every 25 hours and temperature has never been an issue = ever. I can't think of too many other quarks about the Legacy.
