I didn't think a question about whether brief periods of 0 or negative G was entirely basic, given that the range of answers I received on and off the list covered ranged from 'yes', to 'briefly', to 'never'. I've since received more off-list replies regarding aileron rolls, and there is now evidence that my original thinking on their 'strict definition was correct, not that it changes anything about what actually happened. I won't make a lengthy post defending my decision to try it, but I will agree that in general, you're right, and as I have already stated, if I plan to take it any further, I will seek assistance first. It was always my intention to seek instruction to do anything more basic than a roll. I was hoping that an honest, complete description of what transpired might be useful for others. Please bear in mind that I have already stated that I will be seeking instruction before pursuing it any further.
