I know one airshow pilot who didn't pull out in time in a Raven and spent a lot of time grounded for a broken back.
And another young airshow pilot who died at the bottom of a loop in his Extra.
I'd rather be an old pilot than a bold pilot and that is how I got beyond retirement age.  I get my thrills elsewhere.
