Well, this is my first post. I'm taking delivery of a 320 MK-II kit in a couple weeks. It's the apex of a 12 year goal after I saw my first Lancair at the factory when it was located in Santa Paula, CA. Here's what I want to know. I am having a difficult time deciding which canopy style that I want. I like the fighter style option better, but I also like the standard style. What I would like to request from you all is some input regarding which type of canopy that you have, why you chose it, and what do you think of it now. In the past I have decided on different things because of style, and at times have been disappointed because the style was impractical or had some serious side effects that aren't mentioned. I know that there are pros and cons to both styles. So, if I can gain some input from you all, then I'll have an easier time deciding. I hope to hear from you. <<< This came included in a rather lengthy post with the observation that when it was originally posted some weeks back there was only a single response to the query. I know that there are many of you out there who are flying your completed 2-seaters and you obviously have one or the other style of canopy installed... if we can get you out of the cockpit and away from the hangar and your "baby" long enough, please take a moment to jot down what you like or dislike or would do differently if you had the chance regarding your canopy installation and share your thoughts so Curtis (and the other soon-to-be-builders out there) have some opinions on which to base this important decision. If you've never sent a post to The List before, why not make this the time to send your first? If you're bashful or would rather post your observations anonymously, that's ok too, just send your post to me directly at marvkaye@olsusa.com and I'll handle the rest.
