Our first Legacy my wife used to freeze at altitude so when I build the second one I changed the system.  Lancair exhaust did not have the studs welded to the pipe, so when we designed the exhaust I had the studs put on.  Also this Legacy has the plenum so I ran the hose for the heat INLET at the front of the plenum so the heat system gets ram air.  I also ran the inlet to back of the heat inlet on the heat muff and it goes in and pushes hot air forward and then up to the heater mixer.  The plane seems to have at least twice the heat and you actually can feel the heat and on occasion have had to turn it down.  I have included some photo's.
