I would suggest that the second question is what aircraft can maintain 135 knots to be compatible with the 2300’ but can’t deal with a plane doing 65 kts in front of them in the lower pattern? I found in 2007 that this is a real situation. I was very happy this year following a Legacy in Sunday morning in the high pattern.

"However, this year the NOTAM stated that if you were unable to maintain 130 knots (I believe that was the figure), then to use the Warbird/Turbine arrival.  So that  should have sufficed for permission for anyone with higher speeds to use it."

Steve, I interpret that to be aircraft that NEED a minimum of more than 135 knots, like your personal Viper Jet. Which Lancair's meet that criteria?

The real question is what should aircraft do that NEED more than 90 knots but less than 135?
