I changed mine from the McCreary to Goodyear Custom III's and to be safe did a retraction test and everything fit well with satisfactory clearance, too (in case the spinning tire grows with centrifugal force). By the way the Goodyears (more expensive) last considerably longer and makes the actual cost per landing significantly lower.

Has anyone changed the tires on a L-IV from the original (Condor/McCreary) without having to enlarge the openings in the fuselage? If so, what brand and size. Thanks, Bill Hogarty
