Hi jack,
thanks for your interest. I am strictly in a referral situation (only) to help the underwriters find people that are qualified to train and you are certainly that. This one was brought to my attention the other day but I do not feel that with the travel involved that I can give this person the best training that he deserves and needs.

Gentlemen,
Mr Graydon Youngman called yesterday to advise that he’s almost completed his Lancair 360 after 13 years of building! After congratulating him, I thanked him for the privilege of knowing someone who took longer than me to build one of these beauties…although I guess there are several amongst us that did not correctly estimate the build time?
In any case, Mr Youngman, a non-current CFI, is looking for flight instruction and a DAR sign-off on his creation. I struck out in the first name I recommended to him, so I offered to post his request to the LML. He has occasional access to email, but is not a member of our forum. If you can help, please give him a call (preferred) at 607-243-7587, or email at youngman@citlink.net <mailto:youngman@citlink.net>.
Thanks,
Bob Pastusek

Maybe you can link up with him and at least help with the training. He should be able to find a DAR locally who will sign off the
air plane.
Thanks
Charlie K.

Charley,
I would be interested in the north country around the Great Lakes. I do so much flying that I wouldn't like to go too far afield. I have lots of Piston and turbine flight test experience. I did most of the engine airframe testing for the Cheyenne.

Today I received word that we now have a new company on board writing policies at the appx' the same rates AIG had a year ago and with several extra large benefits. The deductibles are $250 not in motion/$2500 in motion. Training will be through independent flight instructors that are approved by the underwriters. They have asked me to help in that selection and set the training syllabus. I have contacted several instructors around the country and hopefully we can get this regionally set so that travel/weather and other concerns will be easier to manage. Additionally, A
Lancair Company inspection will not be required for initial or pre-purchase. Again, They will have individual Lancair builder/FAA maintenance folks located around the country to help with this. I'm signing up today. Charlie K. -- For archives and unsub http://mail.lancaironline.net:81/lists/lml/List.html |
