Pro's and Cons:

1.Clearcoat - produces the best appearance metallic finish IMHO.  Can be block wet sanded and then buffed to provide that nice glassy look if you are inclined that way. Just takes lots of time and effort.  Clearcoat not necessary on solid colors like white.

2. Wingwalk or non-skid paint.  Neither.  Buy one of those textured rubber drawer liners probably available at Home Depot (non skid stuff) in the color of your choice, put it out when you open the door, and when you climb in, pick it up, roll it up,  and put it behind your heels in front of the spar box for easy retrieval when you shut down.  Works great (as long as you do not forget it).  My early versions tended to blow off on windy days, so my wife sewed ½ to 3/4 inch tubes of fabric filled with some ballast (sand works find) into the ends to keep it put.  Works great.
