I think it is fuel line ice blockage.Just my two cents.
I wasn't aware that gasoline would absorb water. How is checking the fuel sump for water supposed to be useful?
Anyway, it does bring the question: is there some aviation equivalent of "dry gas" that is compatible with aircraft fuel systems?
