After several emails were posted on LML about the problems some customers were having with Performance Engines, I got an email from Stuart saying that Ron was sending me a set of ECI pistons as I had requested as part of my warranty support. 

 

I asked for a shipper name and tracking number. Stuart responded this morning with the information so that I am able to track the shipment as it makes its way across the Pacific.

 

Stuart also asked that I send my cylinders to PE for repair.  However, I had to report that I have already shipped them to ECI for replating and refurbishment.  To my knowledge, only ECI can to the cylinder replating with Cerma-Nil coating since they developed the STC for the process.

 

Pistons and rings represent about half the cost of my warranty claim, so we are making some progress.
