Jim is absolutely correct. In fact, I remember attending a seminar at the Lancair Fly-In several years ago in Redmond given by a DAR, and he specifically stated that mechanical strippers were not allowed in the construction of an experimental aircraft. Thermal strippers are difinitely the way to go.
