I reckon the Gas strut’s OK. Last week I failed to get a green light on the LMG. Zoomed out over the bay and did a recycle and tested the throttle gear warning which was OK.  During the process I did a free fall and the NG locked down normally in quicktime. Both main gear took longer than usual and the LMG didn’t give me a green. Yaw and side slip included.

Tower offered a fly past and confirmed all gear were vertical. Reckoned it was the microswitch (happened once before) and landed fine. Sure enough the microswitch was cactus.

So in the replacement of it I checked the free fall on the jacks which brought to light the RMG issue.

I’ll be onto it.
