A fresh built Zodiac was at a local paint
shop and I wondered why they designed the aileron hinges like they
did. The hinge is just a piece of aluminum sheet between
the wind and aileron, full span.
Not sure what thickness.

The NTSB is recommending grounding Zodiac CH601 following
several in flight breakups due to suspected flutter issues. The Zodaic is a
light sport produced here in Missouri.

FAA urged to ground small aircraft involved in fatal
incidents.
This was on Headline News today. Does anyone have any
information to add? What is the rest of the story? Who is
urging the FAA to ground the small
aircraft? |
