Here is a photo of Audi HID lights in my Legacy.  I found them on e-bay for
about $200.  They just fit in the space between the leading edge and main
spar.  One of the neatest things is Leighton Mangels idea to mount them on a
tray that attaches to the lower wing skin with 4, #8 countersunk screws.  If
they ever need to be removed the trays will slide inboard to the cockpit.
Another thing we discovered is the lens can be very small, only 2 3/8" wide
in a Legacy.  I used one Lancair lens and had a lot left over.  

The obnoxiously bright light is even brighter when a upper shading plate
used for the automotive application is removed.  Super bright, 2000+ hour
lamp life, wig wagable with a special flasher and cheap.
