Because fuel drains back though an Andair non return valve from the header tank to the wing tank(s), I replaced the left NRV last year thinking that was the problem side. Fuel drains still from the header, and instead of replacing the right NRV, I thought I might remove, clean and replace it before taking any other action. The left NRV which was removed was quite corroded under the ball, and the LAME said “I’ll fix it for ya” and that was the last I ever saw of it.

So any suggestion for the best means of cleaning the NRV seat, such as steel wool?

Thanks and cheers
