I've been thinking some more on this. Not that I have any experience with beta thrust-
The aircraft CG is in front of the mains. It seems to me that adding reverse thrust and an unsteerable (swiveling?) nosewheel would create an unstable situation similar to slowing a taildragger quickly. On ice or snow I think a ground loop would be almost guaranteed. Plus it might blow sand out of the path of the plane, making braking less effective.
What say those with experience? -Bill Wade
