This is a brief update on my Emergency Gear Down Hand Pump service. The pumps have a ring Rebuild Kit (Lancair part# HC-490) which contains three O-Rings:
O-Ring Hand Pump plug (Item 33X3)
O-Ring Polypak Hand Pump (Item 4615.1870-0875)
Wiber Hydralic Cylinder Main Gear Down (Item 940-3)

This part# HC-490 (~$10) is not listed on the aerocraftparts.com website.  Michelle <MichelleG@lancair.com> provided this quickly. Replacment of these rings does not look complicated.

I'll be installing these rings shortly, and will have some follow up reports in a couple months of use.

My LIVP is in annual now, so I've pulled everything out for a thorough inspection (and floor vacuuming of the accumulum of dirt).

I note the gear down hand pump hydralic valve (between the front seats) has a small weeping leak of hydralic fluid.  It appears to be from the bottom gaskets or ring seals.  I'm about to dive into that subject, but I am posting to others who have dealt with it.  Lessons learned?  Best fix technique?  Complications and pitfalls encountered?  Cheaper to just replace?

Share your past experience.  Thanks.
