I have the 4-blade counterweighted feathering MT prop ( MTV-14-D-C-F/CF195-30b ) and the MT governor and have not had any such problems.

Subject: Counterweighted MT prop issues

Anyone out there running into problems with governor being able to keep up RPM on a counterweighted MT prop using the MT governor?  I have this setup on a Legacy with IO 550, and although not flying, I know of 2 other installations where the problem has surfaced.  The issue seems to be when applying power as with a go around the RPM doesn't get to max only 2300-2500.   Any solutions, thoughts - other than getting a Hartzell.
