Been flying my L-235/320 for a little over a year now and have accumulated 320
hours since first-flight in that time. Receltly I've been flying from San
Diego to Seattle where I do some contract flying on a Falcon-50.
For the first 300 hours I'd been running my O-320-E2D (150 HP) with Amar-
Demuth 62X76 prop at 2,700 RPM at all altitudes above 3,000' resulting in
180-185 KTAS & 9.2 GPH at all altitudes up thru 11,000.
On my last couple of flights to Seattle I pulled it back to 2,600 RPM which,
at 10,500 and 11,500, yielded 173 KTAS and 7.6 GPH. This has made it possible
for me to do the trip non-stop against up to a 15 to 20 knot headwind with
very comfortable reserves (usually 8 gallons remaining) after around 6 hours
enroute. My fuel capacity is 54 gallons usable.
Love this plane!!!
