 Bill you might have the reversed spool valve problem which causes "glitches"
in the system
 
 If you search the archives you will find lots of references to this and also
a diagram of the guts of the pump showing correct orientation of the spool
valve
 
 A test for the reversed valve is to jack the aircraft up retract the gear and
whilst it is in transit select gear down. Usually, if you have the reversed
spool valve it will fail this test.
