When building my airplane I was concerned about trim sensitivity at high speed.  In a search to find a remedy I found a product that would switch the trim speed to 10 different values based on a micro switch position that was installed on the flap actuator.  This is a very smart box, it also incorporated a trim lock out if the trim would run continuously for more than two seconds.  I took a little “training” to keep from locking out the trim, but the systems works.  Modules were installed on the elevator and the rudder.  The web site ( http://www.f1-rocketboy.com/ )  now shows a little different system for the elevator only.  The website is primarily for the F1 Rocket builders.  If you have an interest the person you want to contact is Bob Gross.  He seemed very accommodating and may have some modules still available.
