With all this VERY recent and intense discussion on "Runaway Trim", which I personally consider VERY unlikely, my overriding concern would be, what is the worst case scenario.

In the Legacy, for instance, with a normal Lancair trim setup, IF the trim ran to the full limit in any axis is the airplane still controllable in pitch, yaw or roll down to normal approach/landing speed?

If the answer is yes... it's completely controllable, then this all seems a bit of "much ado about nothing".

On the other hand, if full trim in any axis renders the airplane uncontrollable at even a faster than normal approach speed, then I agree this could be a very serious issue.

Has anyone actually tried this?
