I took a quick look at the RAC website to find out what these relays were all about. My RAC systems doesn't have any. It turns out the relays are only needed if you want to use a single pole switch as found in the coolie hat. The panel mounted switches are double pole and do not require any intermediate relays. It appears that the added complexity of single pole switches and relays has introduced the run-away trim problem.
