To all,

Since a runaway trim requires a stuck switch, there is a way to avoid that ever being an in-flight emergency. My L-IVP has two "trim enable" switches: one for each control stick. These supply the grounds to the trim switches in the sticks.

Suppose my pilot trim ran away. All I need to do is turn of the trim enable for my stick and turn it on for the other. I have a full set of trims (Yes, a reach) that should work to get me safely on the ground. To avoid this happening by accident, the trim enable switches are latching toggles.
