Neither the shims nor bezel would fit as designed, on the front face of the unit. A combination of the very tight tolerance to which the bezel was stamped, together with some sloppiness in how the COM1/2 and NAV1/2 switches were installed on the boards prevented a proper fit. They sent me a second unit right away but again, the original shims and bezel would not fit the replacement unit. I sent the whole mess back to them with a detailed letter. Spoke to the owner who flat out said I was wrong and that everything fit perfectly. His attitude was really strange to say the least. Basically, his approach was to try and reverse the transaction, return my money and send me on my way. I suppose that is one way to deal with a problem. I just love arrogance combined with incompetence and a dose of pigheadedness thrown in for good measure.. To make a long story short, they returned the original unit together with new shims and two new bezels. It was clear they had taken the unit apart and repositioned the switches but I had to do some filing to remove several burrs before I could get a good fit. Several of the screws which held the chassis halves together were loose and two of the attach holes turned out to have stripped threads!!! So much for the best that money can buy.....supposedly. Do I keep this audio panel/intercom or look for an alternative?
