I purchased the kit in September of 1996. It is an "old" fastbuild kit serial number LIV-329FB-P. I have done almost all the work myself, and I would be willing to put my backside and all attached parts in this project. So I don't have to recover very much "paid help" time. I did hire Jerry Parks to do the wing to fuselage mating at his shop in Redmond. He also worked firewall to new fastbuild type (glass to glass areas for mounting hardware). I will try to explain what I have completed according to the builders manual index to chapters. Chapter 2 - Horizontal Stabilizer - Complete, except for elevator counterweight closeout area (BL 62). Chapter 3 - Elevators – Closed, Trim Tab - Fitted, but not complete. Trim Servo Mount completed (Alternate Method from Lancair News N/L) Counterbalancing - Weight installed prior to closing. Elevator/Stab counterweight interface NOT DONE. Elevator Travel Stops - NOT DONE Chapter 5 - Main Wing Spar Closeout – As Completed at Factory Chapter 6 - Wing Construction – Left Wing - Extended fuel to BL 171, using Winglets Hole drilled for fuel pickup, pickup NOT installed (I have both 3/8”& ˝” screen pickups) Electrical Conduit installed in leading edge like later fast build kit. - Complete Tiedown Done - New fast build location Chapter 6 - Wing Construction - Right Wing Some Fuel vents completed, holes for electrical conduit drilled in leading edge ribs, conduit bonded in, close out spars cut & fitted, not bonded in. Chapter 7 & 8 – Flaps & Ailerons I purchased the fast build ailerons & flaps from Lancair, spent a week in their build shop to install them. They are substantially installed, but not complete. No instructions are included for this. Bottom wing skins have been trimmed in the flap area as in new FB. Chapter 12 - Firewall & Bulkheads – This chapter is a mixed bag of slow build & FB instructions. Chapter 16 – Wing Mating to Fuselage - Done by Jerry Parks I have pictures, and can take more digital pictures to show whatever you like. I can also scan in Construction Manual pages if you have particular questions. As far as parts, ALL Lancair supplied standard parts are included. Options that I have bought over the years are as follows: 1) High Energy Brake System (Lancair) 2) Annuniciator panel - Jim Franz (Proprietary Software Systems) 3) AOA System - Jim Franz (Proprietary Software Systems) 4) Fuel/Water Separator (Lancair) 5) Locking Fuel Caps (Lancair) 6) Electric Speed Brakes - Bill Maddox (Superior Aircraft Systems) 7) Static Wick Kit - Bill Maddox (Superior Aircraft Systems) 8) Winglets (VOR Antennas Installed) (Purchased from Walter Dodson) 9) 12' Fuel probes & Fuel Gauge (Vision MicroSystems) 10) Nose gear strut up to date as of 11/01/06 Setting a price is very difficult. I would like to recover my entire investment (approximately $116,000), but I know that is not possible. I am not sure how much I must to have for the kit, but the price I have established is a starting point. Feel free to suggest what you are willing to pay for it. Remember the new price from Lancair is $129,900, and wing mating, fire wall prep, Fastbuild Vertical Stab/Rudder and flaps/ailerons that are part of the “new” fastbuild cost me $17,000. So my initial asking price for everything is $87,000. If you don't want the fixtures, deduct $2,000. I am open to discussion. The following fixtures are available as well but are very heavy, will be very costly to ship: Tables - (4) 8 feet x 30 inches Wing Cradles Fuselage rotation jig (built to Bob Pastusek’s design) Buyer pays all shipping costs.
